Bespoke Interior Design for your Hampstead Home
Thoughtful, collaborative design shaped around people’s lives.
Debs Bespoke Interiors
Hello, I’m Debs, and I create bespoke interiors in Hampstead that respect your property’s character while working beautifully for modern life. My approach is collaborative from the outset—every design decision is made to reflect the way you live in your home, or your goal to sell, with your tastes at the heart of the process. Inspired by my family’s heritage in furniture design, including my grandfather’s founding of Nathan Furniture in 1916, I value quality craftsmanship and timeless design.
With a degree in Industrial Design and over 20 years of experience in the design world, I help homeowners turn their ideas into considered achievable designs with expert interior design, renovation and space planning.
Interior Design in Hampstead
I offer bespoke interior design in Hampstead for a variety of homes, including Georgian townhouses, Victorian terraces, contemporary flats, and larger, stately properties.
Thoughtful interior design can make a tangible difference to how a home feels and functions, particularly where space is limited. By reimagining layouts, improving the flow between rooms, uplifting colour palettes, and introducing bespoke, built in furniture, we work together to make spaces both large and small feel spacious and connected.
I frequently redesign full properties and single rooms, with experience in:
Kitchen and bathroom design
Living room and bedroom design
Built in furniture and tailored storage
Extensions
Specifying unique furniture items
Designing bespoke items
Lighting and Decorating
Home Staging in Hampstead
If you’re selling your Hampstead home, it could benefit from expert staging to help you bring in an offer as soon as possible. Professional staging involves assessing the aesthetic appeal as well as lifestyle potential of a space, and can range from the addition of a few minor touches like strategically placed lighting or a touch of colour to introducing new furniture that makes the space feel larger.
I offer three distinct packages to account for your involvement. Often a lighter process than interior design, this service can be offered remotely where needed or with limited input from yourself so you can better attribute your free time to navigating your move.
Design Consultation in Hampstead
Are you unhappy with your home's interior, or partway through a renovation and unsure how to move forward? You may already have a concept in mind, a folder full of inspiring images or a few ideas you'd love to explore, but need help bringing everything together into a workable plan.
Available as a 60 or 90 minute consultation, a Design Consultation gives you the opportunity to explore ideas and moodboards and make more confident design decisions without committing to a full interior design service. Follow up support by email is included in the consultation price, so you have an opportunity to revisit the advice and clarify any points afterwards. There's no obligation to take things further with my interior design services. The aim is simply to help you move forward with ideas you can comfortably commit to.
Planning and Permissions in Hampstead
Hampstead includes extensive conservation areas and numerous listed buildings, so proposed alterations may require additional consideration from Camden council’s planning services. Where planning permission is required, we are able to coordinate structural design and permissions on your behalf, keeping you informed of any changes or potential delays.
Timelines will not be agreed upon until permissions are sought and we can be certain you are comfortable with the proposed plan. I will always remain upfront and realistic about building schedules and how delays could impact your budget.
Interior Design Inspired by Hampstead's Character
From the historic streets around Hampstead Village to the green surroundings of Hampstead Heath, the area offers a distinctive backdrop for thoughtful residential design. I aim to respect the character of its architecture using materials and colours that emphasise the features you fell in love with when you purchased the property.
Interior Design FAQs
-
A residential interior designer works with homeowners to reimagine their house. They can redesign an entire property, focus on one room, or work alongside you and your architects to complete an extension.
The aim of interior design is to create functional, aesthetic spaces that reflect who you are and how you want to feel in your own home.
-
A trustworthy interior designer will encourage you to share any inspiration you have for colours, furniture, style, patterns, materials, or anything else you are keen to include. The process should feel collaborative and attuned to how you want to experience the space.
If you lack inspiration, a vision session, moodboards, and a vision presentation will be included as part of the process.

At Debs Bespoke Interiors, we follow a four stage process:
Discover: A house survey and discovery session help us understand your ideas, requirements, and desired outcomes for the project.
Define: A vision process and collaborative vision session helps to guide the process and fine tune your tastes.
Develop: A design is built and projected in both 2D and 2D visualisations, so we can better estimate costs and determine whether contractors and permissions are needed.
Deliver: The project is seen through to completion, ensuring you are comfortable with the result.
-
Every interior designer will price their services differently. At Debs Bespoke Interiors, we offer a fixed cost for the first three stages of our design process, with the delivery stage offered at a day rate. This can only be estimated, but we will always be honest and upfront about any additional costs.
